The engine is the result of the doctoral thesis of Larry Page and Sergey Brin (two PhD students in Computer Science from Stanford University) to improve search on the Internet. Coordination and advice were due to Mexican Hector Garcia Molina, then director of the Laboratory for Computer Science from the same Stanford University. The domain "Google" was registered on September 15, 1997. Although their main product is the search engine, Google offers services such as Gmail, Google Earth, Google Maps, Youtube, Google translator, among others.
Google's service that I liked to use is Google Earth. Google Earth you can explore the 3D world, explore the night sky, satellites, moon and even Mars. And last but not least, you can use a flight simulator to fly over mountains, landing at major airports, dive into the water and pass through breathtaking scenery. I also like to use Google Maps, which would be the same, but different. With that I can say that I like to explore the maps as a hobby.
