Memory-by Joed

Memory

Memory is the process of storage and recovery of the information in the brain, Basic in the learning and the thought.

The psychologists distinguish four types of memory: reintegration, reproduction, recognition and reaprendizaje (?).  The reintegration is the reconstruction of events or facts on the base of partial stimuli, that serve like reminders.  The reproduction is the active recovery and without aid of some element of the last experience (for example, of memorize poem).  The recognition talks about the capacity to identify previously well-known stimuli.  Finally, the reaprendizaje (?) shows the effects of the memory:  the well-known matter is easier to memorize one second time.

The phenomenon of the forgetfulness has been object of study on the part of the psychologists. Normally, the first fast forgetfulness occurs, which it follows a loss of slower memory. Nevertheless, to increase the amount of retained information can be obtained practicing the reproduction actively during the learning, by means of scheduled inspections of the material learned, and on learning the material beyond the point of mere dominion. An instrumental technique developed to improve the memory is nemotecnia, that supposes to use associations and other tricks to remember concrete stimuli.

Four explanations of the forgetfulness have occurred: first it is that the némicas tracks are erased of natural way throughout the time as resulting from organic processes that take place in the nervous system, second is that the memory is distorted progressively or modifying with time; third it is that the new learning interferes or replaces to the old one, phenomenon that is known like retroactive inhibition; finally, the fourth explanation is that the repression of certain undesirable experiences for the individual one causes the forgetfulness of these.

In summary, the memories less clear and are detailed than the perceptions, but sometimes a memorize image is complete in each detail. This phenomenon, known like eidética memory, or eidéticas images, occurs frequently in the children, who sometimes are able to reconstruct a so complete image that they can get to spell a whole page written in a not known language that as soon as they have seen during moments.
